24-year-old arrested and charged in connection to Webster shootings

WEBSTER, N.Y. – A woman has been arrested in connection with the deadly firefighter ambush in Webster.

Twenty-four year old Dawn Nguyen is charged with 1^st-Degree Falsifying Business Records, a felony.

Unspecified federal charges are also pending.

Investigators say they have tied the guns used in William Spengler's assault on responding firefighters to Nguyen, but her lawyer says she bought the weapons legally, and they were stolen.

Services for the two firefighters killed in the assault are planned for this weekend. Thousands of firefighters from across the country are expected to attend.
