NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Beginning January 1st, residents in the City of North Adams will no longer be able to smoke tobacco, or even e-cigarettes, in certain outdoor public places.
The new law adopted by the Board of Health will mean smoking is prohibited in public places, such as parks, city-sponsored events, workplaces, outdoor seating areas, private clubs, restaurants with outdoor seating, and anywhere outdoors within 8-feet of a building open to the public. All of these restrictions include the use of e-cigarettes or other electronic nicotine delivery devices.
The regulations will also include campgrounds, but campers will be able to smoke at their own campsite only.
