Shen vs. Shaker to hold basketball fundraiser

ALBANY, N.Y. - Shaker and Shenendehowa will hold basketball games at Siena College to help raise funds for scholarships in name of the victims killed in a Northway crash earlier this month.

Shaker and Shen will hold a girls and boys varsity basketball double-header at Siena College's Alumni Recreation Center on January 10th. Girls will play at 6:30 p.m. and Boys will follow. This event is a joint effort between the students and athletic departments at Shenendehowa and Shaker.

All proceeds from ticket sales as well as memorial t-shirt sales will benefit the Christopher F. Stewart and the Deanna M. Rivers scholarship funds. T-shirts will be sold for $10 and tickets to the event will be $5. Students will be able to purchase t-shirts and tickets during their lunch periods. Tickets and t-shirts will be on sale to the public starting Friday, January 4th at 4 p.m. in the Shen High School East Lobby. Any remaining tickets will be available at Siena the night of the games.
