ALBANY, N.Y. - New York State Senator-elect Kathy Marchione's swearing-in ceremony took place at the Capitol Friday afternoon.
Marchione's swearing-in will be held Friday at 4 p.m. in the Senate Chamber at the State Capitol in Albany. It was rescheduled from Thursday due to winter storm conditions.
Marchione (R, C-Halfmoon) was elected in November to serve the residents of the 43rd State Senate District, which is made up of Columbia, Rensselaer, Saratoga and Washington Counties.
Also sworn in Friday is former Cohoes Mayor John McDonald.
McDonald won the Assembly seat to replace longtime Democrat Ron Canestrari. He will take the Oath of Office at 4 p.m. in the Assembly Chamber in the Capitol.
