AMSTERDAM, N.Y. - A convenient store called Kings Food and Fuel II in the City of Amsterdam was held up and robbed by two armed men on Sunday night.

At around 9:30 p.m., the Amsterdam Police Department received a report of a robbery at the convenient store's location of 313 East Main Street.

Two employees had been working at the time of the alleged robbery and told officers that two males entered the store and demanded money from the clerk, one of the men displaying a small revolver.

One male then went behind the counter and removed an undetermined amount of cash from the register, according to police.

Police say both males then fled the store on foot, running in separate directions.

One suspect is described by police as a light to medium complexion black male of medium build, who was last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt, jeans, sneakers and a light colored bandana covering his face.

The second suspect is described by police as a light to medium complexion black male of larger build, who was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt, jeans, dark colored footwear and a dark colored bandana covering his face.

The smaller male was the suspect in possession of the revolver, and it is unknown whether or not the second suspect was armed.

The attached photos are from surveillance cameras at the time of the incident.

Amsterdam Police are asking anyone with information on this robbery to contact the Amsterdam Police Department Detective Bureau at 842-1100.

No injuries were sustained by anyone present in the store.
