COLONIE, N.Y. - An arrest was made in a two vehicle personal injury car crash that happened on Sunday night.
Just after 9:00 p.m., the Colonie Police Department Traffic Safety Unit responded to Troy-Schenectady Road, just west of Old Loudon Road for the report of a car accident.
According to police, a 1996 Chevrolet Camaro driver by Zachary R. Donnelly, 18, of Troy, crossed into the eastbound lane, striking a 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier.
The Chevrolet Cavalier was operated by David C. Prince, 22, of Colonie.
Prince suffered hip and head trauma and was transported to Albany Medical Center by Colonie EMS with non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of the crash, Donnelly was charged with driving while intoxicated.
Witnesses on the scene described Donnelly as traveling at a high rate of speed just before the crash.
