Three car accident results in death of moose


VERNON, Vt. - Sunday night, three cars were involved in a car accident that resulted in the death of a moose.

At around 7:00 p.m., Vermont State Police responded to the scene at Interstate 91 by Mile Marker 2 in the Town of Vernon, Vermont.

Investigation revealed that initially one Ford Focus struck a moose who was running into the road.

Two additional vehicles later struck that same moose, and the moose passed away.

One vehicle was overturned onto its roof as a result of striking the moose.

No serious injuries were sustained by any of the humans involved in the accident.

Interstate 91 was limited to one northbound lane for around thirty minutes, and all three vehicles were completely disabled as a result of the crash.
