RED HOOK, N.Y. - A man was charged with assaulting two state troopers in the town of Red Hook on Saturday night.
State Troopers responded to 233 Whalesback Road in Red Hook at around 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, after the owner of the residence called police when a fight broke out at their party.
When Police arrived at the home, all of the party-goers had already left and the troopers were interviewing the person that had called for police.
During the interview, Noah Thibodeaux, 19, of Schenectady, abruptly re-entered the home and charged at the troopers.
Thibodeaux physically attacked the two troopers, who were eventually able to subdue him, after a struggle.
Thibodeaux was arrested and charged with assault and resisting arrest.
One of the troopers sustained an injury in the attack.
Thibodeaux was arraigned before Judge Jeffrey Martin and then released to appear at a later date in Red Hook Court.
The injured trooper was treated at Northern Dutchess hospital.
