Suspicious fire overnight in Lansingburgh

LANSINGBURGH, N.Y. - An overnight fire in Lansingburgh is being called suspicious by the Troy Fire Department.

The fire occurred overnight at around 2:00 a.m., in the area of 115 Street and Second Avenue.

Fire Chief Garrett confirmed that flames were shooting from the roof of the vacant house, and that they spread to a second building.

One fire-fighter injured his knee battling the fire and was transported to the hospital, according to the fire department.

There is no word on whether or not the fire is related to the string of fires that occurred in Troy over the summer.
