SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Schenectady Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that took place in the parking lot of 353 Duane Ave, The Duane Lounge.
Officers responded to multiple calls for shots fired in that area on Saturday at 12:47 a.m. A short time later, dispatch was notified by staff at Ellis Hospital, McClellan Campus, that they were treating a male victim with a gunshot wound to the leg.
An investigation revealed that a fight broke out between two groups outside of the bar. The suspect, described as a black male wearing a red jacket, displayed a gun and discharged several rounds into the crowd.
The victim, identified as Trevor S. Vaughn, 33, suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg. His current medical condition is unknown.
It was later discovered that at least one round also hit a house on Duane Avenue.
There have been no arrests made in this incident, although it is still under investigation by members of the Detective Division.
