SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Schenectady Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that took place in the parking lot of 353 Duane Ave, The Duane Lounge.

Officers responded to multiple calls for shots fired in that area on Saturday at 12:47 a.m. A short time later, dispatch was notified by staff at Ellis Hospital, McClellan Campus, that they were treating a male victim with a gunshot wound to the leg.

An investigation revealed that a fight broke out between two groups outside of the bar. The suspect, described as a black male wearing a red jacket, displayed a gun and discharged several rounds into the crowd.

The victim, identified as Trevor S. Vaughn, 33, suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg.  His current medical condition is unknown.

It was later discovered that at least one round also hit a house on Duane Avenue.

There have been no arrests made in this incident, although it is still under investigation by members of the Detective Division.

There are no further details available at this time.
