Petersburgh man dies from injuries months after being struck by car

HOOSICK, N.Y. -A Petersburgh man has died from injuries he suffered on Labor Day when he was struck by a car while riding his bike.

Rensselaer County D.A. Richard McNally says 39-year-old Matthew Ratelle had been in a coma since the accident.

State Police say the married father of three was riding his bike on Route 22 in Hoosick when he was hit from behind by a car driven by 37-year-old Becky Goodemote of Hoosick Falls.

Troopers say she left the scene without calling police, and she may now face more serious charges.
