SCHODACK, N.Y. - Services are being held Wednesday night for a local businesswoman allegedly stabbed to death by her ex-boyfriend on Sunday.
Calling hours for 33-year-old Nikki Hart will be held at the Rockefeller Funeral Home in Rensselaer from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Hart was found suffering from knife wounds at her home on Bri Lan Avenue home in Schodack just after 4:30 a.m. Sunday. She was transported to Albany Memorial Hospital and later pronounced deceased.
Her estranged boyfriend, 29-year-old Jason Guynup, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to her death. Hart had sought an order of protection against Guynup.
Hart was the owner of a Rensselaer County real estate firm. Her family has asked for memorial contributions be made for her two daughters in her name to the Nikki Hart Children's Memorial fund C/O the Kinderhook Bank, 567 Columbia Tpk., East Greenbush, NY 12061.
