WARRENSBURG, N.Y. - Early Sunday morning, Warren County Sheriff's Officers located robber suspect Cameron Belden.
Saturday afternoon, Belden allegedly forcibly entered a Warrensburg home, threatened a resident with a knife and then fled with stolen property, according to police.
The home invasion robbery occurred at around 12:45 p.m. Saturday, on Library Avenue in Warrensburg.
Belden advised the victim not to call police and then took the cell phone in an attempt to prevent police contact. A quantity of prescription narcotics was also taken.
The victim was uninjured and subsequently called for police assistance from a neighboring home.
Following a brief vehicle pursuit in northern Warren County on Sunday morning, Belden was taken into custody.
Belden was charged with one count of robbery and one count of burglary.
A subject who was with Belden at the time of the home invasion, Samantha L. Wells, 30, of Warrensburg, was also charged with one count of burglary.
Both individuals were arraigned in Warrensburg Town Court. Belden was remanded to the Warren County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000.00 cash bail.
Wells was remanded to the Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000.00 cash bail.
Both defendants are scheduled to reappear in Warrensburg Court.
