ROTTERDAM, N.Y. – Ambulances parked in front of the Glenville and Rotterdam Price Choppers collected donations and non-perishable food items for delivery during Mohawk Ambulance Service's fourth annual "Help Us Help Others" food drive on Sunday.
The ambulances were parked in front of the Price Choppers between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Over 5,800 pounds of donated food had already been raised by the past three years of the drive.
"It's important to be thankful for all we have and to give back to the community," said Jim McPartlon, Vice President of the Mohawk Ambulance Service. "Especially around the holidays."
