Fatal car-pedestrian accident in Taughkanic

TAUGHKANIC, N.Y. - State Police have confirmed a fatal car-pedestrian accident that occurred on Saturday evening at around 5:30 p.m. in the Town of Taughkanic.

State Police troopers were called to Route 82 for the report of a man who had been struck by a vehicle.

The female driver of the vehicle is believed by State Police to be uninjured, and the male pedestrian who was walking on the roadway, has died.
