Columbia Co. officials conducting annual handicap parking enforcement week

HUDSON, N.Y. – Columbia County officials will be conducting annual handicap parking enforcement week.

From Dec. 16 until Dec. 22, deputy sheriffs and other police patrols will be looking for handicapped parking violations.

The week is intended to raise awareness that persons with disabilities must have appropriate access to holiday activities like everyone else – especially when it comes to handicapped parking.

The sheriff's office will also be patrolling lots, checking businesses to ensure there are adequate handicapped parking spots.
