Man arrested for disturbing guests at bed and breakfast

GREENFIELD, N.Y. - A drunk man was arrested for illegally entering a bed and breakfast on Saturday morning and causing a disturbance, according to police.

Jason Bennett, 38, made his way to a local bed and breakfast after he was left on the roadside by his driver.

Bennett, upon entering the resort, telephoned guest rooms from the main switchboard and lit a smoky fire in the fireplace, which set off smoke alarms and drove guests from their room.

Bennett was arrested by Troopers La Plante and Van Buren for criminal trespassing, and is to appear in the Town of Canaan Court on December 20th.
