BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. – A 54-year-old woman has been arrested in Ballston Spa after police say she stole from an elderly woman.
Ballston Spa Police arrested Anita M. Baldes, of Church Avenue in Ballston Spa, on Monday after an investigation discovered the theft of over $35,000 from the elderly victim's accounts over a period of 10 months.
She was charged with Identity Theft 1st-degree, a felony.
Baldes was arraigned before Judge Schroeder and released on $500 cash bail to her attorney, and is to reappear in Village Court on a later date.
