ALBANY, N.Y. - The Albany Police Department says they arrested an off-duty Coxsackie Police Officer for pointing a gun at a man on Sunday.
Albany Police Spokesperson Steve Smith says 45-year-old Kenneth Rosimini, of Ravena, was arrested after pointing a loaded handgun at a man on North Pearl Street around 3:45 a.m. Sunday.
When Albany Police officers responded to the call, Rosimini, an off-duty police officer from Coxsackie PD, was found by with a loaded .380 handgun in his back pocket.
Smith says Rosimini had menaced an acquaintance with the gun.
He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, a felony, and Menacing 2nd, a misdemeanor.
Village of Coxsackie Mayor Mark Evans says "Officer Rosimini is a part-time officer, and he has been injured since March. I am aware of his arrest, and I have no further comment."
Rosimini has been arrested by Albany Police twice before; once in 1995 and once in 1997 and charged with Reckless Endangerment both times. Because of this history, he faces a felony charge after Sunday morning's incident.
