DANBY, Vt. – Vermont State Police have a man in custody after a call for a family disturbance turned into a stand-off.
When officers arrived on scene they learned that 26-year-old Joshua Blair had placed a victim in fear of serious bodily injury, causing her to believe he was going to shoot her.
During the disturbance Blair reportedly flipped the victim onto a couch and held her down using a mop handle until she was able to fight her way free.
After a stand- off at the home, Blair was taken into custody by the VSP Tactical Services Unit. They were assisted by members of the Rutland County Sheriff's Office, Danby Volunteer Fire Department and Manchester Rescue Squad.
