ALBANY, N.Y. - Late Saturday evening, a fifteen year old girl was struck by a vehicle and critically injured, as she was crossing a road in Albany.
Officers responded to the intersection of Ontario and Madison in Albany, when a call for a pedestrian auto accident came into the station at around 10:45 p.m., according to police.
The 15-year-old girl was treated on the scene by fire-fighters and subsequently taken to Albany Medical Center for serious injuries.
She is currently hospitalized there and listed in critical condition, according to police.
The accident is under investigation.
Police say that it is unknown at this time whether the girl was crossing the street while the traffic light was red or green.
