South Glens Falls man sentenced to 3 years for baby assault

Posted:

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. – A Saratoga County man will spend the next 3 years in prison for the assault of a baby.

Christopher Fosmer, 23, of South Glens Falls, was sentenced Wednesday in Warren County Court, a week after issuing an ‘Alford' plea in the breaking of a then three-month-old child's collar bone.

Officers say the investigation into the alleged abuse began in July, and revealed that Fosmer had been watching the child, who is the son of a female friend, in Queensbury the night of July 18th when the abuse took place. The child suffered two fractured collarbones and was brought to Glens Falls Hospital by a relative.

The child was released to the Division of Social Services.
