A candle light vigil was held Tuesday night to remember the two 17-year-old Shenendehowa High School students who lost their lives in a car accident Saturday night, and offer support to the two others recovering.
Deanna Rivers and Christopher Stewart, both 17-years-old, were tragically killed in a car accident on the Northway Saturday around 10:20 p.m. A third Shen High School student, 17-year-old Matt Hardy remains hospitalized along with Shaker High School student, 17-year-old Bailey Wind.
A giant card will be set up at Crossgates Mall Tuesday, as well, offering a place for the community to show their support.
Students wore blue Tuesday in support of Bailey Wind and wore green Monday in memory and support of the three Shen students involved.
Officials say the teens were leaving a sports game when another vehicle, a Volvo driven by 22-year-old Dennis Drue, hit Stewart's Ford Explorer. Charges against Drue are pending at this time.
