Rensselaer County approves 2013 budget

RENSSELAER COUNTY, N.Y. - The Rensselaer County legislature approved its 2013 county budget at a special meeting Monday.

The proposed county property tax increase will be reduced by three quarters of a percent - from 2 percent to 1.25 percent.

This is the second year in a row the budget has been under the state tax cap.
