SAND LAKE, N.Y. - A West
Sand Lake man remains hospitalized after State Police say he was struck by a
truck Sunday.
According to troopers,
Arthur Pelton Sr. was hit around 5 p.m. while walking along Reichards Lake Road
in Sand Lake.
Pelton was apparently
wearing dark clothing at the time, and the road was unlit.
Troopers say the driver of
the truck attempted to brake, and swerve around Pelton, but could not do it in
time.
Pelton is listed as critical
but stable at Albany Med. No charges have been filed.
