Bullet hits Corinth home, narrowly misses boy

CORINTH, N.Y. (AP) - Police are trying to determine who fired a bullet that narrowly missed a toddler after punching through the wall of a family's rural upstate New York home.
Barbara Baker tells the Post-Star of Glens Falls that she was inside her home in the town of Corinth with her twin 2-year-old sons Tuesday morning when she heard a loud noise. She noticed a hole in her kitchen wall and found a bullet on a countertop.
Baker says the bullet missed one of her sons by about 6 feet.
Saratoga County Sheriff's deputies are trying to find who was responsible for firing the .270-caliber bullet, a type of round popular with deer hunters.
Baker's home is located on the southern edge of the Adirondacks in a wooded area frequented by hunters.
