Watervliet Arsenal gets boost from Australian army

WATERVLIET, N.Y. - The Watervliet Arsenal gets a boost from down under.

The Arsenal says it has received a nearly $8 million contract to provide the Australian army with lightweight cannons.

The arsenal says this is actually a follow up order.

The cannons will begin shipping overseas in the Fall of 2013, and production for the order will be completed in the Spring of 2014.
