Animal rescue vandalized, owner worried about animals safety

Posted: Updated:

CORINTH, N.Y. - An overnight case of vandalism at a Corinth animal rescue shelter has volunteers worried for the safety of their animals.

The founder of Adirondack Save-A-Stray tells NEWS10 she believes the vandals struck sometime between 7 p.m. Tuesday and early Wednesday morning.

The vandals damaged the front entrance to the shelter and were able to pry open the locked latch.

When volunteers discovered the damage, they found pen doors open and puppies and cats that were let loose.

The state police are now investigating and the shelter founder is offering a $100 reward to anyone with any information leading to a suspect.
