GUILDERLAND, N.Y. - The Guilderland and Altamont Police Departments became involved in a high-speed pursuit of a vehicle that fled from a traffic stop conducted by the Altamont Police Department on Saturday night.
David Hallmark, 34, of 1908 Neptune Drive fled down Route 146 at a high speed in his Honda Accord, attempting to evade the pursuing police cars.
Police set up spike strips in the area of Western Avenue and Route 146, as Hallmark was creating a danger to himself and others. He continued to speed down Western Avenue, intentionally hitting two Guilderland Police cars.
Hallmark was eventually stopped on Western Avenue in the area of Sumpter Avenue, and taken into custody.
He was transported to Albany Medical Center for evaluation and is facing criminal charges of attempted assault, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, speeding and aggravated unlicensed operation.
