POTTERSVILLE, N.Y. - Two adults were arrested and a child was seized after a marijuana growing operation was discovered in a home that the child was residing in.
Warren County Sheriffs responded to assist the Warren County Protective Services after it was reported to them that a marijuana growing operation was underway in a home where a child was residing.
A search warrant for the home at 74 Agard Road in Pottersville revealed several marijuana plants at various stages of growth and development, a quantity of dried and processed marijuana, assorted paraphernalia and equipment used to grow and cultivate the plant.
33-year-old Gary Welch Junior and 28-year-old Kimberli Jackson were arrested and charged with growing cannabis without a license, criminal possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child.
The child was placed in the custody of a relative by Child Protective Services.
The defendants were held in the police lockup of the Warren County Correctional Facility pending arraignment.
