COLONIE, N.Y. - A severe accident occurred at around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday morning in the area of 130 Old Niskayuna Road in Colonie.
A black SUV was found to have collided with a tree, wrapping the body of the vehicle around the trunk.
The tree was scorched by flames from the wreck.
At least one occupant was inside of the SUV at the time of the crash and was transported into an ambulance.
The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
Investigation into the accident is ongoing by the Colonie Police Department.
