Albany PD investigating armed robbery

ALBANY, N.Y. - Albany police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Wednesday morning on Church Street.

Police say around 2:40 a.m., officers responded to the Truck Stop, located at 240 Church Street, for a report of a robbery. When officers arrived, the clerk stated a man entered the business displaying what appeared to be a firearm and demanded cash. The clerk complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The investigation is still ongoing.
