NASSAU, N.Y. - According to the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office an autopsy completed on Thursday confirms a body found in a truck in Nassau is the body of missing 28-year-old Ryan Patton. Police confirm a truck registered to Patton of Sand Lake, was found on November 20th, burned on a rural logging trail off of Hayes Road in Nassau.

New York State Police investigators say it appears the truck had been involved in an apparent accident and was badly burned.

NEWS10 spoke with a hunter who found the truck and the body inside early Tuesday morning, saying he "found the whole mess."

The Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office says Patton has been missing since Monday, November 12th. He was last seen leaving the Lakeview Inn in Averill Park around 10:45 p.m. Monday night in his 2000 maroon Chevrolet Silverado truck.
