TROY,
N.Y. – Troy Police arrested a wanted man after a traffic stop led to the
discovery of a warrant for his arrest.
Patrols
had received information that the driver of the vehicle, Rashawd T. Cohen, 24,
of Troy was in possession of a handgun, and a check of the driver showed he was
wanted on an outstanding warrant from Troy City Court.
Upon
looking inside the vehicle, police saw the handgun on the floor of the driver's
side. The gun was found to be fully loaded and was secured - the vehicle was
impounded.
Cohen
was charged felony Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd-Degree,
misdemeanor Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd -Degree, a traffic infraction
for Improper signal/No Signal.
