COLONIE, N.Y. - Lots of money will be exchanging hands over the next couple of weeks as the holiday shopping season kicks in. That is why Albany County law enforcement officials are conducting counterfeit currency detection training Monday.
Albany County District Attorney David Soares and the U.S. Secret Service will host a counterfeit training session for law enforcement and loss prevention officers at Colonie Center Mall on Monday morning.
The session is aimed at helping retail employees spot fake currency and understand the impact counterfeit dollars have on the county.
