New Jersey man arrested for lottery scamming an elderly woman

KINGSTON, N.Y. - A 20-year-old New Jersey man was arrested for stealing approximately $33,300 dollars from an elderly woman, using a lottery scam.

An investigation by the Kingston New York State Police revealed that Rasheem Eccleston of East Orange, New Jersey fraudulently received money from his victim under false pretenses.

The incident occurred between the 20th and 26th of November.

Eccleston was arraigned in the Town of Marbletown Court and remanded to Ulster County Jail in lieu of bail.
