GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – The 5-year-old child critically injured Thursday in Glens Falls has died, according to the police department.
Jennie M. Mattison, 23 and her boyfriend Brandon M Warrington, 24 of 5 Misson Street were arrested after police responded to the residence for a report of a child not breathing.
It was determined upon arrival that the child, Mattison's son, may have been the victim of assault.
The boy was transported to Glens Falls hospital, and from there, air-lifted to Albany Medical center where he later died.
Warrington, who is not the child's father, was charged with Assault in the 1st-Degree, and felony Reckless Endangerment in the 1st-Degree and Mattison was charged with Reckless Endangerment in the 1st-Degree.
There is no word from officials at this time on whether the pair will face upgraded charges after the child's death.
