CATSKILL, N.Y. – The NY State Police at Catskill arrested an Ashland man after an investigation revealed he had assaulted a young boy.
Christian Daparma, 40, of Ashland, NY was arrested for the felony charge of Assault in the 2nd-Degree and the misdemeanor charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Daparma was arrested following a complaint initiated by the Greene County Department of Social Services. The investigation determined that he had assaulted a 6-year-old male while at his residence in Ashland.
Daparma was subsequently arraigned in Ashland Town Court and remanded to Greene County Jail without bail.
State Police were assisted with this investigation by the Greene County District Attorney's Office and Greene County Department of Social Services.
