State Comptroller finished Saratoga Springs housing authority audit

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Another blow for Saratoga Springs' embattled housing authority as the State Comptroller found the agency's control over spending and travel - lacking.

Comptroller Tom DiNapoli urges the housing authority to fix the financial risks and adjust the executive director's salary to make it more comparable to other housing agencies in the state.

The audit also found that the housing group knew about the bed bug problem five months before they hired an exterminator.
