In battle for 46th seat, one candidate says they’ve taken the lead

NEW YORK - As ballot counts continue to be counted in the undecided race for the 46th State Senate District, one candidate's camp is claiming they're now ahead.

A representative for Republican assemblyman George Amedore says tallying in Greene County has now given him a 54-vote lead over Democrat Cecilia Tkaczyk.

Tkaczyk had a 139 vote lead going into counting. The tallying will now move to absentee ballots, starting Monday.

NEWS10's calls to Tkaczyk's camp have not yet been returned.
