Amber Alert canceled for 4-year-old Marlboro boy

MARLBORO, N.Y. - The Marlboro Police Department, in Ulster County,has canceled the Amber Alert issued after they say a 4-year-old boy was abducted on Western Avenue in Marlboro around 9:20 a.m. Friday morning.

State Police say the father is in custody and the child is safe.

The Alert was issued for the following counties: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Montgomery, Orange, Putnam, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Sullivan, Ulster, Warren, Washington Counties.

It was canceled for all counties around 3:30 p.m.

The child, Frederick McCluskey, is a white male, approximately 4-years 9-months-old with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is approximately 4-feet-tall and weighs about 50 pounds. Frederick was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. He has a small scar under right eye.

The suspect is said to be Frederick McCluskey; a white male, approximately 27-years-old with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is approximately 6-feet 3-inches tall. The suspect was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The vehicle has been identified as a red 2-door sedan 1989 Honda Civic with NY license plate number FHX9276. The vehicle is a hatchback and has a blue and gold version plate.

The suspect was last seen traveling north on Route 9W.

Police say the suspect abducted the child using physical violence following a physical domestic altercation. He has threatened to harm child and himself.
