4-year-old upstate NY girl hit by car dies

WINDSOR, N.Y. (AP) - State police say a 4-year-old girl has died after being accidentally run over by a car driven by her baby sitter.

They say 37-year-old Brenda Hadlick was backing up when she hit Kenzee Wheeler in the driveway of the child's home in the Broome County town of Windsor at about 8 a.m. Thursday.

The girl was taken by helicopter to a hospital where she died of her injuries.

No charges have been filed. Troopers say the investigation is continuing.

Windsor is 14 miles east of Binghamton.
