SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Three Saratoga Springs Police Officers have been suspended after allegations they may have been involved in a dispute at a downtown city bar.
The Saratoga Springs Police Department is investigating the report that up to three officers were involved in a dispute around 12:15 a.m. Monday morning at Dango Fitzgerald's bar on Caroline Street. The officers were off-duty at the time of the reported incident.
The department received a call around 12:50 a.m. from the alleged male victim saying he had been assaulted earlier and believed they were police officers. An initial investigation started at that time by on-duty supervisors.
The reported victim sought medical treatment on his own accord sometime Monday afternoon for non-serious injuries.
The investigation has since been turned over to command level staff and is continuing.
The three officers have been placed on suspension pending the outcome of the investigation.
