KNOX, N.Y. - Beginning Tuesday, November 13th, the Knox Post Office will have a new address.
Knox customers will now use the East Berne Post Office, located at 873 Helderberg Trail. All 97 post office box holders from Knox will be assigned a new key to receive their mail at the East Berne Post Office.
Affected residents will continue to use their current Knox post office box address and 12107 Zip Code.
Postal officials say this move is due to an emergency suspension of services based on safety and sanitation issues at the Knox facility located on Berne-Altamont Road.
The East Berne Post Office is open from 8:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday.
