AMSTERDAM, N.Y. - Proud citizens gathered in Amsterdam on Sunday morning, to watch a procession of military men and women walk well-known streets, American flags wafting in a light breeze.
The Veterans Day Parade formed at 9:30 a.m., at Henrietta Boulevard in Amsterdam.
The parade marched down to the West End Veterans memorial where, at 11:00 a.m., a Veterans Day ceremony was held.
Heads were bowed, and solemn respects were given to all of the brave men and women that have served in the armed forces.
The sky was sunny and clear, as men and women clasped their hands together, beneath the tall statue of the West End Veterans Memorial in Amsterdam.
