Accident involving manure-spreader and SUV in Hartford


HARTFORD, N.Y. - An accident involving an SUV and manure-spreader left a 64-year old trapped in his vehicle on County Route 30 on Saturday afternoon.

69-year-old Ronald Mercure of Hartford, was driving a tractor that was towing a manure-spreader south on County Route 30, when he was rear-ended by a Ford Explorer.

Timothy Gaudio, 64-years-old, was driving the SUV that crashed into Mercure's tractor at around 2:28 p.m.

Mr. Gaudio was trapped in the vehicle after the crash, and had to be extricated.

Mr. Gaudio was then transported by Med. Flight to Albany Medical Center for injuries that are unknown at this time.

The accident is under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff's Department.
