HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. - On Thursday, the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office responded to the report of a residential stabbing, where they found a woman bleeding from her stomach and a male in the basement holding a 4-year-old child and a knife.
Deputies secured the child and were, with time, able to take the suspect into custody.
The child, police and male suspect went uninjured.
The female victim was taken to the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and held for observation, where it was determined that her injuries were non-life threatening.
45-year-old Sean Muller was charged with assault, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.
Muller was remanded, without bail, to reappear for a preliminary hearing on November 13th in Hoosick Village Court.
