Local deliveryman arrested for arson

COLONIE, N.Y. - A local newspaper deliveryman has been arrested after police say he set small fires along his route.

According to Colonie Police, 20-year-old Anthony Vignola is facing a number of misdemeanor charges, including arson in the 5^th-Degree and Reckless Endangerment.

Police say Vignola set fire to 19 leaf bags and one garbage container as he made his way along his route Monday morning.

He was caught after homeowners said they had seen the newspaper delivery man moments before the fires were discovered.

Vignola's mother tells news ten her son has recently suffered a series of personal setbacks and that he has since quit his job.
