ABOUT GOV. ROMNEY
Former Gov. Mitt Romney
Mitt Romney was born in Detroit on March 12, 1947.
Romney spent most of his career in the private sector before being elected Governor of Massachusetts in 2002.
He is also credited with stepping in during the 1999 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics as it faced serious issues.
Romney graduated from Brigham Young University in 1971, and earned dual degrees from Harvard Law and Harvard Business School. He founded the investment firm Bain Capital in 1984.

ABOUT REP. RYAN
Rep. Paul Ryan
Representative Paul Ryan was born in Janesville, Wis. on Jan. 29, 1970.
Ryan joined Congress in January of 1999, and was the youngest member of the freshmen class at 28. He is currently serving his seventh term, representing Wisconsin's First Congressional District.
He has degrees in economics and political science from Miami University in Ohio.
