COLONIE, N.Y. - News 10's "Pet Connection" sponsored $50.00 off of each adoption fee in collaboration with Benson's Pet Centers, which contributed a $30.00 gift bag to all new pet owners, during a special "Pet Connection" adoption day on Saturday.
Steve Caporizzo was in attendance, and gave away a "Pet Connection" coffee mug to everyone that adopted an animal.
Caporizzo hopes to do more events like this in the future.
The event was held between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., at the Benson's Pet Centers in Colonie and Clifton Park.
Eight local animal adoption agencies participated, including 'Kitten Angels,' 'Peppertree,' 'Orange Street Cats,' 'Forber Home Greyhounds,' 'Rottie Empire,' 'Animal Support Project,' 'Happy Cat Rescue' and 'Animalovers.'
